Sherry Turkle talks on "connected, but alone" Ted talk video, about how technology is replacing people. Turkle states that people are to focus on their phones and are ignoring the people right in front of them. Throughout the video she brings up many of her points about technology, like when she saw her daughter and her friends staring at their phones, but not paying any attention to each other. Also that our phones give us a sense of security, giving us the illusion that there is always someone listening on social media. She had done a similar talk back in the 90's on the same topic, but with a slightly negative opinion. Now Turkle said that having technology is okay, but only at certain time and places. This way people are not just focused on their phones all the time and talk to others.
Turkle brings up many great points, saying how we don't pay attention to each other. Instead we end up paying attention to our phones that connect us to other people. Most people just don't want to pay attention to others, but they want others paying attention to them. There should be times and places that technology should not be involved. That would be very help full and bring people back to reality.
